Privacy

Privacy without the fine-print fog.

This policy explains what Vitalis Interactive collects through this website and the Vitalis Dispatch mailing list, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Vitalis Interactive LLC is an independent game studio based in the United States. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to hello@vitalisinteractive.com.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to vitalisinteractive.com and the Vitalis Dispatch mailing list. It does not govern Steam, YouTube, TikTok, Brevo, Google, or other services you visit through links on this site; those services have their own privacy practices.

Information you choose to provide

We collect your email address when you voluntarily join the Vitalis Dispatch. We may also receive information you include when you email us for support, business inquiries, creator outreach, or other correspondence.

Information collected automatically

This website is hosted through GitHub Pages, which may process standard technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as an IP address, browser information, and request logs. The newsletter form is provided by Brevo and protected by Google reCAPTCHA; those services may process technical and usage information to operate the form, prevent abuse, and confirm subscriptions.

Website analytics and Metricool

We use Metricool to record aggregate website visits and page views. According to Metricool’s tracker documentation, the tracker does not use cookies, store visitor IP addresses, or assign unique identifiers. It uses a visitor’s IP address transiently to determine the visitor’s country and then discards the IP address.

How we use information

  • To send Vitalis Dispatch emails after you confirm your subscription.
  • To share major game releases, meaningful development updates, and occasional playtest invitations.
  • To respond when you contact us.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website and mailing-list signup process.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect Vitalis Interactive, its players, and its services.

We do not sell your personal information.

Vitalis Dispatch and Brevo

The Vitalis Dispatch is managed through Brevo. A double-confirmation process is used: submitting the form triggers a confirmation email, and you are added to the list only after clicking the confirmation link. Brevo processes subscription information on our behalf, including delivery, consent records, bounces, and unsubscribes.

Google reCAPTCHA

The signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA to reduce automated abuse. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms. reCAPTCHA may collect hardware and software information and evaluate interaction data to determine whether a submission is likely to be human.

When information is shared

We share information only as reasonably necessary with service providers that help operate the website, analytics, email system, and business; when required by law; or when needed to protect rights, safety, and security. Our current providers may include Metricool, Brevo, Google, GitHub, and Microsoft 365.

How long information is kept

Newsletter subscription information is kept while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward when necessary to maintain unsubscribe and consent records. Correspondence is kept only as long as it remains useful for support, business, legal, accounting, or security purposes.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the Vitalis Dispatch at any time using the link included in every marketing email. You may also contact hello@vitalisinteractive.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your email address. Some records may be retained when required by law or needed to document an unsubscribe request.

Children

This website and mailing list are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Vitalis Dispatch.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate for a small independent studio. No method of online transmission or storage is completely secure, but access to business systems is limited and account protections are used where available.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the studio, website, or service providers change. The date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
